USGS Update 2007-Aug-03 09:56

Potential ash hazards: Wind forecasts from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), coupled with eruption models, show that any ash clouds rising above the crater rim today would drift primarily to the northeast.

Recent observations: Clouds block the view from JRO into the crater this morning. Seismic activity remains at a low level.
