USGS Update 2006-Dec-27 09:28

Potential ash hazards: Wind forecasts from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), coupled with eruption models, show that any ash clouds rising above the crater rim today would drift east-southeastward early in the day and southeastward later.

Recent observations: There have been no significant changes in eruptive conditions during the past day as indicated by seismic data. Stormy conditions preclude any observations from fixed cameras.
