USGS Update 2006-Dec-09 13:08
Potential ash hazards: Wind forecasts from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), coupled with eruption models, show that any ash clouds rising above the crater rim today would drift northward early in the day to northeastward later in the day.
Recent observations: Lava dome extrusion continues accompanied by small periodic earthquakes and minor deformation in the crater. A new winter storm is rolling into the area making some webicorder records noisy.
