USGS Update 2006-Apr-08 12:30
Potential ash hazards: Wind forecasts from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), coupled with eruption models, show that any ash clouds that rise above the crater rim today today would drift west-northwestward in the morning and eastward in the evening.
Recent observations: Partly cloudy skies obscure the volcano today. Seismicity is quiet, with smaller “drumbeat” earthquakes occurring once every several minutes.
